I always depend on friends for this kind of question but I wanted to see what the community thought.

I’ve been dating this lady for almost two years. We are NOT planning on getting engaged at this time.

However, I have refrained from getting her any jewelry as a gift thus far. We have always erred on the side of caution and prefer to "take it slow."

But I want to get her diamond stud earrings this Christmas and I’ve been doing some looking. I can find 1 ct. earrings in platinum for ,000 to ,000, which is in my price range. That is for 1 ct. TOTAL, meaning that each earring is only 1/2 ct.

Now I’m thinking that may not be enough. But to get 1 full ct. in each ear (2 ct.) the price jumps to ,000 to ,000 if they are set in platinum.

I could pull it off if I had to, but naturally, I’d prefer to keep the price lower instead of higher.

Is the 1/2 ct. in each ear an insult? Any one know of any places online that have great deals on NEW platinum stud earrings? Thanks!

What size is too small? .4 would be .2 on each ear and isnt so expensive. I got nothing but good reviews for penndiamond and blue nile. Zales was mixed, however I can go in to a store here and look at them personally whereas the other 2 are online. All have 30 day return policies. Please help me figure out my best deal. Its my girlfriends bday and I want her to feel special!!

My husband wants to get me breast implants for my 30th. I’m not offended by this because I’ve always wanted bigger breasts, but I feel like 30 is a little old to have new boobs. I was hoping for some diamond earrings instead. Which do you think would be better? I expect rude comments from this question, but can we try to keep them to a mimium? Thanks.

I know I’m wealthy and stuff but compared to my friends I’m getting like nothing, I mean, I would ask for more electronics but I already have the macbook pro, iphone, itouch, plasma screen, & tons of DVDs & a wii in my room..I may sound spoiled but trust me I’m not! I dont even have my own credit card like all my friends do! I have to use my mom’s when I shop Plus I dont get everything I want quite when I want it! For example the apple ipad just came out but I didnt get it!!! I was SO MAD at first but then i realized I only had to wait about a month so whatevs…but yeah what are some other things to ask for i have makeup, perfume, clothes, shoes, purses, straighteners, electronics, what else is there…? And those haters out there are just jealous! I live on the Upper East Side if that helps.

I dont have the 3 c’s or the appraisal papers yet Im in school and have to pick it up tomorrow morning. Yet I called the appraiser and they told me over the phone they are valued at between 2700 and 2800 and they will bump it up 10% for insurance purposes. what is fair price to sell them for. they are around 1 and a half carats total.

I am looking for the best look alike faux diamond stud earrings without spending a fortune. Have tried many. Diamonique from QVC and Absolute from HSN. Any ideas?

I recently purchased some "diamond" earrings for .99 (three dollars & 99 cents) at the beauty supply store now I have crusties & clear pus coming out of my earring holes, I indeed cannot wear fake jewelry, however i NEED to know how do i get rid of the crusties and pus, hydrogen peroxyide isnt working.
